Mamie Laverock, the 19-year-old actress who plays Rosaleen Sullivan on the Hallmark Channel series "When Calls the Heart," is reportedly in critical condition after falling five stories from a balcony walkway on May 11.
Laverock's parents released a statement confirming the heartbreaking news and sharing details of the incident. According to their statement, Laverock lost her balance while walking on a balcony walkway at her apartment complex and fell to the ground below.
Emergency responders rushed Laverock to the hospital, where she underwent surgery for severe injuries. Doctors placed her on life support due to the extent of her injuries, which include a broken pelvis, internal bleeding, and a head injury.
Laverock's co-stars and friends from "When Calls the Heart" have expressed their shock and sadness over the incident. Erin Krakow, who plays Elizabeth Thatcher on the show, shared a heartfelt message on social media, calling Laverock "a bright light" and expressing her prayers for her recovery.
