Mavs Beat Wolves 116-107 to Move One Step Closer to NBA Finals
The Dallas Mavericks are one step away from reaching the NBA Finals after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-107 in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals on Sunday night. The victory gives Dallas a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
The Mavericks were led by Luka Doncic, who finished with 33 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists. Doncic hit a step-back 3-pointer over Rudy Gobert with 30 seconds remaining to give Dallas the lead for good.
The Timberwolves were led by Karl-Anthony Towns, who had 31 points and 15 rebounds. But Towns struggled with foul trouble and fouled out of the game with 1:50 remaining.
The Mavericks will now have a chance to close out the series in Game 4 on Tuesday night in Minneapolis. A win by Dallas would send the team to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2011.
