Muslims in Saudi Arabia and Neighboring Countries to Complete 30 Days of Fasting
The crescent moon was not sighted in Saudi Arabia on Monday, April 8, according to the Khaleej Times. As a result, the last day of Ramadan will be Tuesday, April 9, and Eid Al-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month, will begin on Wednesday, April 10.
The Fatwa Council in Saudi Arabia has confirmed that Wednesday, April 10, will be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr in the kingdom. Muslims in Saudi Arabia and neighboring countries will therefore fast one more day, completing 30 days of fasting during Ramadan.
Eid Al-Fitr is a significant holiday for Muslims worldwide. It is a time for celebration, feasting, and prayer. Muslims typically gather with family and friends to exchange gifts, eat special dishes, and attend religious services.
